Great Writing Eric!
Congratulations Eric for winning this week's Principal's Award for trying really hard in writing. Eric has written some really creative narratives over the last few weeks.
Here is his story, Sophie and Buddy Go For a Run.
Sophie and Buddy go for a Run.
Sophie and Buddy went for a long run. Suddenly Buddy saw his lost red ball in the freezing cold river. He jumped into the cold water. The water was deep and buddy couldn't swim. “Hold on Buddy, I'm going to save you!” Sophie said loudly. Sophie got a mountain climbing rope and threw the rope at Buddy. Buddy got the rope in his sharp teeth and sophie pulled him hard. Finally, Buddy and his red ball got out of the river.

Seasons Tree
Recently we created artworks using paint and collage to represent the 4 seasons. Here are some of our impressive Season's Trees.
Silly Billy - Retold by Divyesh.
Silly Billy was a worrier. Billy worried about shoes and big, giant birds eating him. His mum said nicely. "Don't worry, everything will be fine."
One day Billy had a sleepover at his grandma's house. Billy couldn't sleep. He rushed to grandma, and grandma gave him a six worry dolls. Billy told his worries to the worry dolls and slept as still as a log.
But a few days later, he was worrying again. He worried about the worry dolls.
He went to the kitchen and made worry dolls for his worry dolls and they all lived happily every after.
By Divyesh.
We liked Billy's solution to his worrying problem, so we all made our own worry dolls to tell our worries to. We have taken these home to put under our pillows to ensure a great nights sleep.

Celebrating Matariki
On the last day of term 3 we headed outside for our own special Matariki celebration. The seven stars of Matariki are a constellation that appear in our skies sometime in June. This is when Maori celebrate new year. Traditionally they flew kites to celebrate because they fly high in the sky close to the stars. We all made our own bird kites to fly.
