Animal Reports.

Over the last few weeks, here in Room 16 we have been learning about animals. Here are some reports we have been writing.


Dogs.

Dogs make good pets.
Dogs eat meat and dog biscuits.
They live in a special dog house called a kennel.
Their bodies are covered in hair.
They need a walk every day.

Fish.

Fish are good because they are not messy around the house.
They live in a tank or bowl.
Their skin is called scales. If you take a fish out of water they will dry out.
They need clean water to swim in and fresh water.
Also they eat flakes and other little fish too.

Grasshoppers

Introduction
Grasshoppers can blend in with the grass and can jump really high and far.

Appearance
They are usually green and have 4 wings with large eyes.

Habitat
You can find grasshoppers in long grass, short grass, sand and underground.

Diet
All grasshoppers eat grass and leaves. It's their favourite food.

Special Features
They're special because they sing by rubbing their back legs together to make loud noises.

Conclusion
I think grasshoppers are amazing because they jump really high and far.

Our Trip to Kelly Tarltons.

Last Thursday, Room16 drove in a bus to Kelly Tarltons. Inside it was very dark. I was frightened. My mum touched me and whispered "Are you OK? " " Yeah, I'n OK, " I whispered back. Next we walked to the penguin area. We saw some black and white penguins flapping there tiny wings. I thought that was funny because some of the penguins were flapping their wings and hit their face! As time went on we went to the shark, turtle,fish and stingray area. The stingray kept staring at me! I learnt a lot of things and I had heaps of fun.

PERFORMANCE!

Last Thursday Fariza and I had to go to the hall to play some games and practise dancing in groups. Later all the Year 3 and 4 classes came and watched a funny play and then it was our turn to perform. My group - the HULK SMASH group danced first then we pointed to the WOLVERINE group and it was their turn, then they had to point to the SUPERMAN group. I was nervous but it was fun. The audience clapped and cheered.
